The art of storytelling: exploring the intersections between oral history and visual arts

Wednesday, September 19, 12-2pm.

What makes the intersection of oral history and artistic practice unique lies above all in the collaborative approach to planning and creating something new. This interdisciplinary project will explore different approaches to visually interpret the history of the other.

Visiting Fulbright Researcher and CEREV affiliate Jill Strauss is seeking the participation of visual artists and life stories researchers working on the links between these two areas. The project will result in an exhibition (in Canada and the United
States) and a publication in spring 2013.
