Curating as a pedagogical strategy
CEREV director Erica Lehrer and postdoctoral fellow Monica Patterson co-authored a short essay discussing experimental strategies for critical pedagogy using curatorial practice, titled “Re-curating Testimony: Toward a New Pedagogy for Learning from the Past,” in Anthropology News, the major US Anthropology disciplinary news source. Lehrer and Patterson have been using the Advanced Public History Workshop “Curating Difficult Knowledge” a site of research as well as teaching.
