CEREV postdoc awarded prestigious Banting Postdoctoral Fellowship!

CEREV postdoc Monica Patterson was recently awarded the Banting Postdoctoral Fellowship to continue her work with director Erica Lehrer for another two years. The purpose of the Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships is to build world-class research capacity by recruiting top-tier Canadian and international postdoctoral researchers at an internationally competitive level of funding. During Dr. Patterson’s tenure, she will develop an interactive curatorial project around children’s drawings from the late apartheid period based on her extensive archival and field research in South Africa. Now in its second year in 2012, Banting makes 70 awards distributed equally across Canada’s three federal granting agencies: the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Natural Science and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC). Congratulations, Monica!
