Objects of Intolerance to Teach Tolerance

In February 2011, CEREV hosted Dr. David Pilgrim, of the Jim Crow Museum of Racist Memorabilia at Ferris State University. Pilgrim gave a very well attended lecture titled Using Objects of Intolerance to Teach Tolerance: A View from the Jim Crow Museum of Racist Memorabilia.

For more information about the visit, see Erica Lehrer’s blog post on the subject, which links to a CUTV TV report.

If you missed the lecture, you can listen to a podcast of it here.

The following day, Dr. Pilgrim gave an intimate workshop to students and faculty. You can listen to the workshop discussion here.

Prior to the lecture, Monica Eileen Patterson, a CEREV fellow, interviewed Dr. Pilgrim. You can hear the whole interview here.
